Good event, some minor issues

I bought a General Admission Ticket for The Nomad World Fest Porto a few months ago. The ordering process on their site was straightforward, no real hitches there. I received the confirmation email right away. The event itself was well-organized with a good variety of talks and workshops. I particularly enjoyed the Skill-share Session I attended. However, I found some of the networking areas a bit too crowded at peak times, making it hard to really connect with people. The Co-working Day Pass I added on was useful, but the Wi-Fi in that specific area was a bit spotty for an hour or so in the afternoon. Overall, it was a positive experience and I learned a few things.

Amazing Porto Fest!

Just went to The Nomad World Fest Porto and it was fantastic! I got a General Admission Ticket and it included so much. The energy was incredible and I met so many inspiring digital nomads. The Panel Discussion Access was a highlight, really thought-provoking speakers. Definitely worth it. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Reliable event experience

This was my third time attending a Nomad World event, this time for the Porto Fest with a VIP Pass. As usual, the organization was solid. I appreciate that they consistently deliver on what's promised. The VIP perks, like dedicated lounge access, were a nice touch and a step up from my previous General Admission tickets. It's why I keep coming back; I know I'll get good value and meet interesting people. The keynotes were particularly strong this year.

Thinking about getting a ticket for the Porto festival. Do workshops come with the regular general admission ticket or do I need to buy something extra for those?

S Sam J. 1 week ago
Nah, most workshops are usually extra. General admission gets you into the main talks and networking areas, but for the deeper dive stuff you usually need a separate pass or to upgrade.

I think some basic ones might be included, but the good ones, especially the hands-on or more niche topics, you almost always have to pay a bit more for. Check the schedule once it's out, sometimes they list what's included there.

how easy is it to get a refund if something comes up and I can't make it to the festival? life's unpredictable you know.

I Ian 2 weeks ago
Refunds can be tricky with events like this. I think their policy is usually pretty strict closer to the date. You might be able to transfer your ticket to someone else though, that's often an option.

I had to cancel once and it wasn't super easy to get a full refund if I remember right. I ended up selling my ticket to a friend because they allow transfers. Always check their exact terms when you buy, it changes sometimes.

Anyone know if they do group discounts? Me and a few friends are planning to go and trying to save some cash.

N Nathan Wright 6 days ago
They do! I remember seeing an option for it when I bought my ticket last time. You usually need a certain number of people though, like 5 or 10, for it to kick in. Look for it on the ticketing page.

Yeah, pretty sure they have group rates. I've seen it mentioned for other festivals. Might be worth reaching out to their support just to confirm the exact number of people needed and how to apply it.

I saw a 'community partner code' mentioned somewhere. Does anyone know what that means or where I can get one for a discount?

K Kevin A. 1 month ago
Those are usually through specific digital nomad communities or platforms they partner with. If you're part of a bigger nomad group on Facebook or Slack, someone might post one there. Or check their Instagram, sometimes they link to partners.

Yeah, a lot of times it's like a 10-15% discount. If you follow any big nomad influencers or podcasts, they sometimes have codes too. Just keep an eye out, they pop up closer to the event usually.

Is the Nomad World Fest actually legit? I saw some crazy cheap 'super early bird' tickets and it almost feels too good to be true for everything advertised.

J Jason W. 1 week ago
Yeah, totally legit. I went to the one last year in Lisbon and it was awesome. The super early bird deals are real, they just want to get people committed early.

Can confirm, went to the Porto one before. It's a proper event, not some fly-by-night thing. They do a good job with the workshops and networking. Just buy it if the price is right for you.
